Nestled in the lush lands of Costa Rica, Roots to Rise is a soul-awakening experience rooted in ancestral plant medicine, conscious movement, and vibrational healing. Here, you’ll be held in a container of love, safety, and deep remembrance—coming home to the wisdom within.

Your Experience

 Sacred Kambo & Ayahuasca Ceremony & Optional Bufo Ceremony
Held in deep reverence and guided by our experienced facilitators and a highly trained Shaman—who has worked with Amazonian tribes and supported hundreds on their healing paths—these sacred plant medicine journeys offer profound personal insight, emotional healing, and spiritual alignment. There will also be an optional Bufo Ceremony for an additional fee for those who would like another spiritual experience.

 Breathwork & Sound Healing
Daily practices to open your body, expand your awareness, and harmonize your nervous system—allowing your energy to flow freely and restore balance.

 Heart-Opening Cacao Ceremony
Step into connection and creativity with ceremonial cacao, music, and intention. Open your heart, release blockages, and remember joy.

 Yoga & Somatic Movement
Gentle morning flows and restorative evening practices designed to anchor your body before and after ceremony. All levels welcome.

 Travel Information

Please arrive in San José, Costa Rica (SJO) by 7:00 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026. We’ll pick you up at the airport or a nearby hotel (not included).
The retreat ends with an evening drive back to San José on February 25th.
Return flights should be scheduled for February 26th, or later that night if you're comfortable with a late flight.

Oscar Martinez

The Shaman Ayahuasquero Oscar Martinez (Sanken Bea)Named by the Amazon Tribe has spent an extensive amount of time in Peru with the Shipibo Conibo Tribe learning with his teachers in the Amazon - both plants and people - about the sacred traditions of serving Ayahuasca. "

He has been through many intensive initiations and dietas over the last ten years and has safely served Ayahuasca, Bufo alvarius, Kambo, and other ancestral medicines to over 1500 people internationally. His dedication to his mission and prayer for the healing of humanity by using these medicines to raise the consciousness of the collective are strong and felt very deeply in his ceremonies.

 

The Ayahuasca that Oscar serves is prepared and prayed over by the family he knows personally. It is very clean and only contains two ingredients - the ayahuasca vine and chacruna - and is always fresh from the Amazon jungle of Peru and of the highest quality. The family who makes this medicine has intentions to reach the people for healing and find their true Selves and the family puts this prayer into the medicine while they cook it over four days and five nights.

Planeta

Planeta is a deeply intuitive and compassionate yoga instructor with a gift for creating safe, nurturing spaces for healing and reconnection. With a focus on gentle, restorative movement, her classes are designed to support integration of the plant medicine experience—helping participants soften back into their bodies, release emotional tension, and return to a sense of grounded presence. Through breath, stillness, and mindful movement, Planeta gently guides each person back to themselves with care and reverence.

Grandma Lany

Grandma Lany is the heart of our retreat kitchen, lovingly preparing every meal from her abundant organic garden. A wise and nurturing soul, she infuses her food with care, tradition, and deep respect for the healing journey. Her purely vegetarian meals are not only absolutely delicious—they’re also fully aligned with ayahuasca and bufo dieta guidelines, nourishing your body and spirit without ever leaving you missing meat. Beyond the kitchen, Grandma Lany shares her deep knowledge of cacao as a sacred plant medicine and will be guiding one of our cacao ceremonies with warmth, love, and ancient wisdom.

  • Your third payment will be due November 1st

Cancellation Policy

​Our cancellation policy is designed to support both our guests and the integrity of the retreat. It allows us to honor the time, energy, and financial commitments required to host this experience while also offering understanding and flexibility wherever possible.
 

  • Your deposit is non-refundable.

  • Cancellations 90+ days before the retreat will be refunded, minus the deposit.

  • Cancellations 30–90 days before the retreat will receive a 50% refund, minus the deposit.

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the retreat are non-refundable, though your spot may be transferred to someone else.


This policy helps us support our facilitators, staff, and venue partners, while being fair to guests who may be waiting for a space.
